Environmental & Social Contribution Policy – Le Lac Sarovar Portico, Ranchi

At Le Lac Sarovar Portico, Ranchi, we remain dedicated to fostering meaningful ecological and community development across India. As part of our sustainable hospitality drive, micro-contributions gathered through our guests are transferred directly to the esteemed organisation “Sewa Mandir” to fund their targeted initiative, “Offsetting Carbon Footprint through Afforestation”. Guests opting to support this environmental endeavour agree to the following terms and legal provisions: Voluntary Direct Booking Contribution:Guests reserving their accommodation directly with the hotel will be invited to make an optional contribution of ₹5 towards the cause. This micro-donation is strictly voluntary, and an additional charge of ₹5 will only be applied to the account upon the guest's explicit approval. Direct Allocation of Funds:Every contribution collected via this scheme is remitted directly to “Sewa Mandir” to be utilised solely for dedicated afforestation projects designed to offset carbon emissions and create a positive social impact in India. Non-Refundable & Non-Cancellable:Once authorised and processed, all contributions are final. Sums contributed cannot be refunded, returned, or cancelled under any circumstances. Waiver of Rights and Claims:Guests voluntarily electing to contribute do so at their own discretion and risk. By proceeding with the donation, guests expressly waive, release, and relinquish all claims, rights of action, and legal remedies (under statutory law or otherwise) against Sarovar Hotels arising out of or in connection with the contribution made. Tax Exemption Certificate Notice:Please note that no tax deduction certificates under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961 will be issued to guests for contributions made through this initiative. Statutory Declaration of Indian Residency:By proceeding to donate, guests confirm and declare that they are resident Indians and that the contribution does not originate from any foreign source as defined under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA), 2010.
